Responsible for carrying out all detailed electrical and control systems engineering for customised air and gas dryer skid packages, including preparing wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives, and preparing the bills of material for the hardware for production.
The Electrical Engineer duties shall include but not be limited to the following:
- Reviewing and applying client specifications to the dryer package control system design;
- Applying knowledge of international electrical standards, instrumentation standards (HART protocol, Foundation Fieldbus), hazardous area requirements, and other oil and gas industry requirements for electrical and control systems;
- Carrying out the detailed design of the control system, including hardware and software requirements, for PLC or DCS controlled systems;
- Preparing wiring diagrams, logic diagrams, control narratives, for approval by the client;
- Liasing with the project engineer as necessary on client requirements and scheduling;
- Preparing the bills of material for the necessary hardware for production;
- Oversee the functional testing of the control system in the factory prior to shipment;
- Travel to client’s site when necessary for on-site testing and commissioning support;
- Knowledge in at least some of the following would be highly desireable.
Programming:
* PLC systems (logische besturing):
- Siemens S7-200 (with software MicroWin);
- Siemens S7-300 and S7-400 (with software STEP 7);
- Allen-Bradley ControlLogix and CompactLogix (with software RS Logix 5000);
- Allen-Bradley SLC-500 and MicroLogix (with software RS Logix 500).
* HMI-systems (human machine Interface, visualisation):
- Siemens OP73, OP77 (with software WinCC flexible);
- Allen-Bradley PanelView Plus touch screens (met software FactoryTalk View);
- Allen-Bradley PanelView 300 (with software PanelBuilder).
* Profibus and Modbus voor Siemens PLC’s (with software STEP 7);
* Modbus voor Allen-Bradley PLC's (with software RS Logix 500 and RS Logix 5000).
Hardware:
- Electrical components to European and American standards, such as cabling, conduit, glands, cable trays, etc.
